The Crambambull
The Crambambull is a flip-out or flip-open wallet with 4 pockets. Two are inside and two are outside. It is offered to you with or without a spring steel money clip. A flip is also known as a pint of colonial Ale, sometimes they were poured back and forth between two mugs to make sure they were creamy and well blended. This pouring back and forth gave Flip the nickname “Yard of Flannel” but they also went by the names “Bellow-Stop”, “Hotch-Pot”, and “Crambambull”.
Leather selections open to all sizes and weights although we recommend a 3-4oz or greater leather selection for the main folding part of the wallet. The lighter the the leather weight the more soft and supple the feel of the wallet. The heavier the leather weight, the stronger, less pliable, and thicker the wallet. Thread color will be chosen to match leather selections unless otherwise requested. You may also purchase one of these ready-made from the Artisan Bench.
